I've had 3 1970 Oldsmobiles.
The nicest, and rarest, was an F85 W-31. One of 207 built, I believe this car originally had a W27 aluminum read end, but that disappeared 2 owners before I got the car. I ended up with a normal 3.91 posi rear end. It was maroon with white stripes, SSII rims, bench seat, rubber floor mat (no carpeting), M21 4 speed, tinted windows with the stainless trim around the door posts. This car had lots of potential, and after driving it for a couple of years and realizing I wouldn't get around to fixing it properly, I sold it to another OCW member who restored the car. Of all the cars I've sold, this is the one I wish I still had.
I had a rough Cutlass S Rallye 350. Besides the Rallye basics, it had: a factory heavy duty (Ford) 3 speed with console and buckets. I bought it cheap (I saw it next to the road when I went to visit an uncle's house), drove it for a few years and had my share of bad luck with it, and ended up scrapping it out. One time, the hood, air cleaner, and deck lid with the spoiler were stolen. Another time, someone actually stole the drive shaft out of the car. I never did figure that one out (and it probably didn't do them any good either as the Ford 3 speed drive shaft was different than for any of the other transmissions). I also slid into another car with it on ice one Winter.
I also had a 1970 442 W-30 parts car with a friend. It was a little different as it was a column shift automatic with buckets, only a clock, an AM radio and an 8 track player. I still have the build sheet from this car that lists the W-30 option. We bought this out of a bone yard after noticing the intake manifold and 1 red fender well. It had a normal hood on it, so we were quite surprised to find the intake (no F-heads though). It did have the correct OW trans.
