Al's 2001 Olds page

I don't have a 2001 (not for the next few years at least), but I have picked up a 2001 Aurora Press kit that has some very nice slides and a CD with poor jpegs and beautiful (but huge) tiffs of the 2001 Pace Car.  I've reduced them (by 50%) and converted them to jpeg format so you don't have to wait for an 18M file download each.  If you want copies of the originals, drop me a line and I can zip them up and send them along...

Overall, I like the looks and feel of the new style.  I like a number of the enhancements, and I think it will be a more successful car for Olds, but I don't know that it is quite as distinctive as the 1st generation car.

	Sharp looking car!  I don't know that I'd want to drive one around town every day with those graphics, but I guess I'm getting too old for that...
	At this point, I haven't heard if they are going to offer a street version of the pace car.  They have in the past, but you never know...
	The press release says the 4.0 liter V8 in the pace car is modified from stock.  Anyone know why?  The '97 pace car engine was explicitly mentioned as being UNmodified.
